cat navigator manually enlarges print!

Posted by kathy ® , May 01,2001,06:21   Archive
i just thought of something that might help some of you on your computer. i've been using a cat navigator instead of a mouse on my computer for some time now and you can manually enlarge the print on the page with just a stroke of your finger. My boyfriend got it for me and it's pretty nifty!

Sounds nifty. I will have to check it out or ask my computer geek family members about it.

Shirley in AR. who just found out that her 2nd computer geek son has received a full Cyber Scholarship along with laptop and stipend and free housing and book allowance for college. These little computers that I have so hated have given both my sons full scholarships. This little mamma is proud, proud, proud. And I don't hate computers anymore.

Shirley,
How wonderful that your sons have received the scholarshis. I can understand how proud you must be.

Gee, thanks Sally. They actually do get their smarts from their daddy and what little common sense they have they get from me. They also have my sense of humor which Roy sometimes appreciates and sometimes doesn't.

When James was in 2nd or 3rd grade, he came home with a stomach ache. I asked him what he had eaten that day. I got out the blender and started throwing in bits of everything that he was telling me that he had consumed over the day starting with breakfast. We went from coke to cheese puffs to Hershey kisses, pizza, etc. Anyway, it was a real mess. He just stared at me in disbelief as I kept adding the things to the blender and wondering what I was going to do. By the time that we had gotten everything into the blender and I had put the top on and turned that sucker on puree, we were both laughing hysterically. I took the top off and said "look at this and smell it and you will know why you have a stomach ache."
Roy finally came downstairs to find out what we were laughing so hard about and we couldn't even talk. We just pointed to the blender and he looked at it and left the room shaking his head.

Somewhere along the way, his stomach ache went away and we have laughed about it many times since. Just common sense, folks with a little humor thrown in.

Shirley in AR. who recently had an upper myectomy and limited lobotomy.

kathy,

re: the cat navigator

I don't understand. You're not using a mouse? What are you using? And is it only for PC's? I want it.

it's called a Cruise Cat internet touchpad. i think it's more comfortable than using a mouse. Oh let's see, it's made by Cirque. But this neat feature on the the left side has a zoom feature that can enlarges the small print that drives me crazy on a lot of reading. it also has a lot of other features that my computer boyfriend got really excited about after he installed this for me and almost wanted it back.
It really helps me read the postings better on this BB. All sites don't support it on the net but for someone who has eye problems and difficulty in reading small print it is Great! I was just taking it for granted when i suddenly thought this could also help others on this group. I think it cost maybe $30.00. We got it at an Office Max.

Colored text

You can use html tags to change the color of the type. Kathy is right about not being able to tell you how, because it interprets what she is trying to show you as a tag and does it, instead of displaying it as part of the post (does that make any sense?).

Try typing (font color=blue) in front of whatever you want colored - you can use other colors - and (/font) when you want to go back to black, only don't use parentheses. Use < and > in their place.
