Which Dr. is best?

Hello Friends, I am back in N.E. Ohio for the summer. I have never had my Botox injections here, only in Fl.I have a list of several Drs. in the Cleveland Area who give them, 60 miles from me.One is a ophthalmologist, one a neuro-ophthalmologist, and one a neurologist, located at University, hospital, and the Cleveland Clinic. My question, which type do most of you prefer or think is better to give the botox? I have mild problems compared to most of you, but it is time for more injection, have been putting it off.Are there any Cleveland Oh. people reading this? If so please reply, or any of you former nurses, or any ones with an opion. Edith in Ohio

Hi Edith,
There will be as many different answers to your question as there are people. It is most important to be comfortable with the doctor and be able to talk with and have your doctor listen to you. With that in mind and as long as every thing else is equal, my personal preference for injections for BEB/Meige is a Neurologist who specializes in movement disorders, then neuro-ophthalmologist, then ophthalmologist. With experience, all can give botox injections equally well.

I see a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders to regulate my meds and she give botox in my jaw for meige. However, for my beb an ophthalmologist (surgeon) is where I get my greatest results.
