Reaction to Botox? | |||

My eyes are slightly red rimmed. Is this a temporary reaction to the Botox injections? Or is it more of just a "tired" appearance from the blinking & squinting? My eyes do not seem real dry, but I'm still using Refresh eye drops anyway to be on the safe side. I also have Lotemax (prescription) that I use morning and night to suppress any irritation that might be going on. |

Hello Karen, You might want to try an eye lid scrub morning and night for a few days. Blepharitis could be the culprit. A couple of drops baby shampoo in a small (3 oz. paper cups) of warm water and stir. Thoroughly wet a cotton ball in the solution, squeeze out excess water. Gently scrub the lids back and forth a few times. Rinse with a plain water soaked cotton ball. Use a new cotton ball for each eye. Let us know what happens. Judy |

If Judy is correct about the possibility it could be blepharitis, do what she said. and cleanse your eyelids every day. I use a lid car product as I find the baby shampoo still stings (me) a bit. You can also place a face cloth over your eyes whilst in the shower and let the warm warm pour over it. Hope something helps. June in Toronto, Canada |
