Each of us have bad days where our eyes don't want to cooperate at all, we're tired and hurting, and in general we just wish this 'thing' would go away. Some things that work for me:
1. Rest
2. Declare it my birthday and do whatever I want. (It doesn't have to be something big.)
3. Make yourself move. Go outside, take a short walk, etc. Anything that requires a little physical activity will energize you.
4. Get on the computer and e-mail one of us. If you listen to your own thoughts too much you begin to believe them.
Take care and have a good eye day!

Re: If only I could ...
This is Super advice, judy! sometimes forcing yourself to do things makes your eyes worse, sometimes better; it's a decision almost daily for me.
Re: If only I could ...
Judy, guess we have all been there. Thanks for your input. If I am
at the office having difficulties, I can sometimes mentally take charge
and just push through it with my breathing exercises and all the different holistic techniques I have learned. Other times, at lunch
I go to the car and have a rest. Getting on this board is definitely
a tremendous boost. There is a big part of me that knows
that if I am doing SOMETHING to move through or keep going, I feel
better. I also know that just because today is a bad one, tomorrow
may be ok. Sometimes I am able to thank God for all I do have and am
still able to do. There is a fine balance in doing that and being
able to accept my limitations. Hope this makes some sense.

Re: If only I could ...
Thanks for the good advice. The BB is a boost for me. I certainly don't have to worry about making myself move-my 3 and 6 year olds see to that! Even though they don't nap we have rest time for 1 hour each day where they go to there rooms and read books or play quietly so that I get a short break. This can be invaluable on a bad day.
Re: If only I could ...
oh my gosh, you have 2 little kids and have to deal with not only the BEB but watching them as well. I remember those days and my heart goes out to you.
Re: If only I could ...
Thank you. One of my hardest times was on the soccer field. My kindergartener had practice and is was very windy. Wind does me in for some reason. I was also babysitting a friend's 3 year old as well as watching my own. I'm trying to keep an eye on Morgan on the field and watch Cory and Lauren running up and down the sidelines. My eyes kept closing and I was terrified when I got them back open the 2 little ones would be out of my sight. I had to make them sit down with me and we played games and sang nursery rhymes. No rest for the weary-that's for sure. Luckily my hubby is a very "hands on dad" and gives baths regularly and takes them out to play so I can get some extra rest.
Re: If only I could ...
wind also does my eyes in, majorily! i have taken 2 days with exactly the same climatic temperatures, light,; the only difference being wind and this has been the factor many times as the culprit.
Re: If only I could ...
Air conditioning also does it for me ... particularly in a car.
Re: WIND/AIR CONDITIONING
The cold wind in the winter is very bad for me (still haven't found suitable goggles (other than humungous ski ones) that would be suitable and don't fog up)) also the a/c in the car as well.June in Toronto
Re: If only I could ...
Ceiling fans are also a kicker! We have to use them at least some of the time in Texas summer heat when our electric bill hits $300/mo but I can't watch tv or read to the kids if the fan is on.
Re: Air in your face
Air blowing in my face from any source has always bothered my eyes.
