Hi Kathy,
It is up to you whether you enter your email in the "E-Mail" box or not. If you want people to be able to contact you that are registered on the bb, then you may enter it each time that you post a message. Only people that are registered on this bb site, then have access to it. It is not a safe practice to post it in your message body, as anyone who reads the bulletin board, whether they are registered or not, can see it and use it in any way that they would like. Some people compile lists of email addresses and sell them to others. It is the internet and there are people lurking out there that you might not necessarily want to have your email address.
You do have to enter your email address when you register but that is for the webmaster and moderator only unless you choose to also give it out each time you post.

That's right Kathy. Anybody can read the bulletin board-they don't have to register to just read it but they do have to register to have access to your email address when you post it in the designated box each time that you post. In this way, you are limiting the people that have access to it and not giving it to every "Tom, Dick or Harry". It will only be available to others that are registered and can post. Registered posters can just click on your name and your address will come up. Non registered people will see nothing. Some people (like me) choose not to include their email address in their post. If a name shows up in color in the post then you will be able to get their address. If the name is black, then they have not entered their email address.
Clear as mud, right?
