muscle relaxants?

Another round of botox today. The last one was not very effective. My neuro-opth. says I may have to go every 2 1/2 months and also prescribed a muscle relaxant to try as it starts fading. Am trying to come to terms with reality that I may not be able to keep working. I have worked very hard to achieve what I have, but it is also stressful. If there is a positive to this, BEB makes you redefine your priorities. Would appreciate hearing from others about their experience with muscle relaxants.

Hi Beth -- I get my Botox shots every eight weeks, and have not had any muscle relaxants. I do take Klonopin (generic clonazepam), as many others here do. It's prescribed for anxiety and also spasms. Mary

I have taken Flexeril and that seems to help some. The only problem is that it gives me a "hangover" for a full day after I take it, so limit it to times when the eyes are really bad or if I've been having trouble sleeping. I had neck surgery for a ruptured disk a few years ago, so it is usually my neck that forces me take the Flexeril, but a side benefit is the minor help for the eyes.

I get Botox every 10 weeks and would get it every 8 weeks if I could. I also take klonopin.
I had a myectomy and that helped a lot with the eyes. I also have Meige and jaw and throat problems. Ann Doyle
