happy non-independence day

today is july 4th. my eyes have been half- closed for over 3 days now due to this high heat and humidity and i have been barely able to get by. there is no holiday for me. was invited somewhere and there was no way i could go. i thought the celebrex would be a chance for me to at least improve the quality of life i have now; perhaps it will, but not in this weather. i am as dependent on the non-use of my my eyes as i ever was.

Hi Kathy,
Sorry to hear your eyes are giving you a hard time.
The heat and humidity makes me feel so tired.
I feel much better in the air-conditioning.
Try your best not to let this get you down. See if you
can find something you enjoy and relaxes you, while
keeping cool. Keep your mind focused on the moment,
and what you can do, rather than what you can't.
hugs,
Mindy

Kathy, I can sure empathize with you! It has only been two weeks today since my last Botox and my eyes are at least half-closed all the time. They prefer being completely closed. So it really gives a feeling of DEpendence, rather than INDEpendence! It is 95 here today and oh so bright and glaring. I did go out for lunch with my mother and aunt, then came right home. Supposed to go look at the fireworks tonight and would much prefer to stay home, but it would take too much effort to convince my mother that I wasn't just sitting here pitying myself. So I suppose I will struggle out to the casino parking lot and sit with hundreds of others in the heat.

Hi Kathy I haven't been on the bb very long, but read your post and am sorry you are having a hard time. It is hard not to think about your eyes when you can't see. I have never related having more trouble seeing with high humidity. Guess I need to pay more attention. Sometimes after my injections start to take effect,it is really hard to keep my eyes open. Sometimes when I get depressed, I start to think of all the things God has blessed me with.
