Re: article on Dee Linde's dystonia published
A celebrity in our midst! Well done Dee - hope she wins the fight of the closing of the swimming pool. The same is happening in Toronto - for some people its the only relief they get from the heat. The pools used to stay open until late at night to help them. Its a shame when money is so mispent in other areas.June in Toronto who is wondering if we will get the 2008 Olympics!
Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
Way to go, Dee.
Sally, I looked for a website for the Herald and found the address and phone number of the paper but not a website. That is as far as I can go with the information that I have. #1 computer nerd son says that they may not have a website for the paper or that the newspaper may not be on-line.Sorry. Maybe Dee can help us with this. Shirley in AR.
Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
Shirley, they probably don't have a website since it is only a twice weekly newspaper. I just thought that perhaps James would know how to scan the article or some magical trick when you get your copy.Sally in North Idaho
Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
There is an online version of the newspaper, but I couldn't find the article. The website states that not all articles are available online. Just in case anyone wants to give it a try, I've included the URL below. The current edition was posted (today's) and I couldn't get to a back issue even to see if Dee's article was there earlier. I did email the webmaster to ask if there was a way to see the article online and I'll post later if I get an answer.

Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
Way to go Virginia. I hope that you hear back from them. Maybe they will give you the information to post a link to it. Can't hurt their business. I can't get anything to come up when I click on your link. It just says page cannot be displayed. Maybe they are "down" for awhile. Thanks for trying to find it. I believe that I will be getting a copy but legally, I don't think that should be posted without permission from the paper. A link to their site would be ok, though. We want to see your article, Dee. Thanks Sally for telling us about it. Shirley in AR.who will hire Virginia as my computer expert any day. The pay is not good, though.
Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
Shirley, surely you realize that it would not be fair for you to get Virginia's expertise when you already have three experts under your own roof. I desperately need Virginia, as I can't even stay on Internet long enough to read more than one message. Now they tell me it's my telephone cord and I should go buy a new one. What next. But I'll try.Sally in North Idaho with a bumpy Internet line!!!
Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
Sally,
My daughter had problems with her internet service and it did turn out to be the phone cord. Maybe a new one will solve your problem. Good luck.

Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
Thanks, Virginia. As soon as my eyes will allow me and I can brave the heat, I will trek to Spokane and invest in a new one.Sally
Re: Hiring Virginia
I spoke for her first. There is always room for one more expert. It would serve my male populated household right. Probably would prove a bit challenging for them and they might try to be a little more helpful. I would share her expertise.Surely Shirley in AR.
Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
I believe it was a Sunday edition, two weeks ago.
Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
There's not any way to get into their recent archives, so I couldn't see if it had ever been online. Not everything is in their online edition anyway. I haven't heard anything back from them, but will post when I do.
Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
Great job Dee! Any info we can get out to the public may help 1 person and it is so important. I was so nervous when I was on the local news doing a segment on dystonia/botox a couple of months ago but all I could think about is how great it would have been for me to see that prior to diagnosis and maybe I wouldn't have hit "suicide level" before finding out what was wrong with me. Hope we will be able to see the article.Kelly in Dallas
Re: Newspaper feature article re: Dee Linde's dystonia
Dee sent me a copy of the article and it was wonderful and I got to "see" her too in the pool. I wish I knew how to copy it for you guys so you could read the article, too.
