My eyes tearing

Shirley,

Shirley, my eyes are filled with tears as I write this thank you note to you for your quick response. It means to much to have someone care enough to answer questions and/or give thoughtful, practical advice.

I can't wait to pass this info onto Diane. I've been personally pained for quite some time over seeing her wear the contacts and eyeshadow. I suppose it isn't always easy to make personal lifestyle changes when your present condition warrants it but hopefully Diane will take the advice. I also left her with a list of specialists in her area.

If it takes 4 hours, or 2 hours - -whatever it takes, I know she needs to go to a specialist who is competent and experienced in administering botax injections. I feel if she doesn't do it, and do it soon, things are only going to get worse.

YOU ARE AN ANGEL SENT BY GOD TO HELP OTHERS! Thank you, Shirley.

Geri,
Get me off the pedestal, please.

It was very difficult for me to give up my contacts. I had worn them for 25 years and believe me, I hated going back to glasses. I even had trouble adjusting to the glasses. They actually seemed to trigger spasms and make my BEB worse. I have gotten used to them, though and they don't make things worse anymore. Larger frames helped. The eye make-up wasn't too hard to give up. My tinted glasses sort of hides my eyes anyway and my family has never once said, "Please go put on your eye make-up." I do use a self-tanner on my face which makes me look not quite so make-up free. If she does that, though, she needs to make sure that it doesn't irritate her eyes, either. She should be able to wear a little eyebrow pencil but the mascara and shadow would personally put me under the covers.

My botox doctor admonished me the first time that I went to see him when he saw that I had on a very minimal amount of mascara and foundation. I had wanted to look nice to meet him and he let me know rather quickly that it wasn't to be done.

Maybe others will post about their experiences with make-up and contact lens. How about it ladies?

Shirley in AR.

i have said this before. i have tried it both with mascara and without it. i think my eyes are better with it because it trains my eyelashes upwards and also acts as a dustcatcher. but Diane may not have this problem. i haven't worn any other eyemakeup for years except for occasionally those waxy soft eye pencils , which she could easily substitute for the shadow. you only have to use it in certain places if you want a little definition, or want to feel a little better that day. i have also given up the the contact lenses that i also wore for years.

I still wear make, eye liner & mascara. My doctor has never said anything to me about it, but I don't have a lot of eye irritation to deal with, also my doctor is a woman which might make a differenct. I wear the eye liner on the bottom lid. Usually it is really hard to get my mascara on, due to trying to keep my eye open. It's probably a vanity thing, but it makes me feel better to have it on. I've had BEB since l994. I work as our church secretary, possible is I stayed home I would consider not wearing it. Notice I said consider.
