That's a great article in the March/April BEBRF news letter Delaine. You are on the front page - I'm very impressed with the message and your photograph! Way to go. June in Toronto (Canada) where its turned cold again (thought it was Spring last week) and we had a little snow yesterday. |

I know Kitty commented on Delaine's article - have others seen it in the latest copy of the BEBRF newsletter? Delaine posts on this bb - we are so proud of her. June in Toronto where its 5.30 in the morning and still very dark. |

Hi Delaine, A well-done article and thought provoking. We all need to have hope, even when told there is none. If it is to be that there is no cure, then possibly something beneficial is still coming our way due to things we don't understand. You are very pretty, and must create a good image when you speak before groups. Your eyes are even open! Sally in North Idaho where it's spring. |

I still haven't seen the article or picture. I have had an article in the newsletter every March since 2000 and sent one professional picture I used for workshops before BEB. That is how I looked before BEB probably made in mid 90's. Since surgery and 5 years of BEB my eyes don't look the same. I have pictures in the BEB album that Shirley posted that are more recent. I bet they used that old picture. I had one man email me after that picture and first article was published and complimented the article and said I was a real looker!!! Funny. I actually looked better in my 40's until BEB than I had looked my whole life. Oh well. I'm thankful I can look on a good day and not so concerned about being a looker. I rarely wear makeup and wear dark glasses and a hat or cap and look more like the unibomber than a model now. Heck...we get older and things change. Life happens!!! |

I've been waiting to read it. I sure wish that we all got our newsletters on the same day...mine hasn't arrived yet. :-(
I'm sure that it is an excellent article as Delaine is such a good writer and speaks from her heart. Maybe tomorrow... Shirley in New Mexico where the skies are almost always a brilliant blue. |

I didn't receive my copy of March/April until a few days ago. Mary Smith, the office manager, said the newsletters were mailed on March 1 by "bulk mail" & it takes about 3 weeks to reach everybody. Mary said if someone doesn't receive theirs by the end of this week, they should contact her & she'll send another copy. Diane |

I just subscribed to the newsletter and don't think I will get the March / April issue. Is there a way to order reprints or back issues? I think this is an article I should read. |

Hey gang long time no read BB. Many changes in my life. Haven't seen the article. Didn't know it was published. I don't have a clue what picture they used!!! I sent the article to Mary Lou when I told her I was taking a sabbatical from State Coordinator and Middle TN Rep. She told me that day that her Mom's favorite saying was Hope Floats and I wrote that article from that. My husband became very upset about the time and attention I was "giving" to BEBRF. He thought I should spend that time making money. He didn't get that I would lose my work disability forever and no one would ever insure me again. SSD would work with me about trying to work, but I had tried volunteering at the local Nursing School and it had made me worse. We had tried counseling and made things worse and there were many problems I can't discuss, but his anger was becoming abusive and we are separated. I have a beautiful place on the river that is small but I feel like I'm on vacation. I didn't realize how oppressed and depressed I was by the stress of walking on eggshells. I am focusing on taking care of no one but me. I'm close to friends and family and feel supported and blessed. Thanks for the comments. Keep me in your prayers. Love to you all. |
