Most places I see it listed as a neurological disorder. That is how I like to term it.Shirley in AR.

I tell people that I have a "neurological disorder which causes my eyes to .... blah, blah, and that it is not an eye disease. "Disease" sounds too "catching," like chicken pox or something.

I agree, disorder does sound much nicer than disease , but then almost anything does. Thanks
