Dystonia Segment on TV?

I had an e-mail from the Dystonia Foundation that there may be (?) a segment on ABC 20/20 show Friday, August 17th, 10pm (check your local time) unless bounced by some other world-breaking news. I'm going to try and check it out.

June in Toronto where its been a beautiful dull day today and, as I had my botox injections yesterday, that suits me!

Hi June ... Are you having a better reaction, with less annoying side effects, from the Botox so far this time? I sure hope so.

I'm thinking on your "hobby" question. Seems like there must be some little niche that would please you in a city as large as Toronto. Is getting to/from the hobby site going to be a problem?

Sally in North Idaho where it's supposed to be the hottest day yet of the summer today, and I'm sure it will get there. That snowy mountain in Tasmania sounds lovely!!

Hi Sally, no black eyes or much bleeding this time from the botox,. It usually takes 3-5 days before the side effects set in, so so far so good.

Re a hobby - yes, I guess I'm looking for something to do at home that really would interest me and doesn't take a lot of sight! I could get places during good daylight areas around Toronto but not in the dark winter mornings and evenings - I just don't operate well in the dark and traffic lights. I'm checking the local school listings, etc. Something will turn up I'm sure.

June in Toronto

Hi June,

Schools always need help, and not necessarily on a steady dyed-in-the-wool schedule. Lots of times they will have someone come in and direct a special project in art/music/drama, etc. You might teach a little group of girls to knit. This could be done in a "Y" of Scout group as well. You might also check with the senior citizens headquarters near you and see about getting a list of people to contact each day by phone, just to make sure they are okay and give them a boost to their day. That way, you wouldn't have to go out in inclement weather, but would always have something to feel responsible about doing.

I'm glad you are feeling okay so far.

Sally in North Idaho who is going to go watch "20/20" now.
