Hey Shirley, I missed posting for a day, did I miss something? Why are we discussing Roy's underwear? I liked your pictures, Dr. Anderson is a real handsome man. When I see Dr. Baker I can't help but remember at the banquet in Kentucky where the Blue Grass singers moved his chair accidently and he sat on the floor. I still laugh about that when it comes to mind.

Don't you like discussing Roy's underwear? He is getting quite a kick out of it. Kathy asked if Roy wore boxers or briefs. I think that she has some theory about something. Anyway, she didn't specify which "Roy" she was talking about and I didn't want to "tell all" if she wasn't talking about my Roy. I don't know of any other Roys, though. So, we are just having to wait it out until Kathy posts again and tells me which Roy she is talking about. I feel the tension mounting. I just hope that I haven't run Kathy off.
This will teach you to keep up with what is being posted. No, it has nothing to do with BEB but I have been laughing rather hard and my eyes are squeezing closed because of the laughter.That was funny about Dr. Baker and his landing on the floor. He did take it well. They all do have a great sense of humor and were discussing this year about getting writers for their jokes. They don't seem to need any help. Shirley in AR.

wait i minute i just had a thought. roy can say" Now that i'm retired, i like to hang around in my Hanes". now shirley if you'll just do your part with the digital camera, you know , capture roy on the sofa, the pizza, the dogs and your sons, Roy is on his way to a second career as a celebrity underwear spokesman AND we have created our own celebrity for BEB and you can be his agent!

Kathy, it would certainly be an eye-opening experience or at least Roy would hope so. I don't think that my sons won't in on any of this.
I'm not all together certain that this is what Roy had in mind for a second career. In fact, since this is going world wide, he is wondering what this is going to do to any of his career opportunities. It is a nice picture that you have conjured up, though. I do think that Hanes is the way to go, also.Shirley in AR.

well absolutely none of this would have happened if you hadn't planted that visual in my mind. once you mentioned the Hanes thing, i just took off from there. i know it's wild, by the way, are there any conference pictures of Roy??

You know what, Billie, I haven't been gone and I've re-read everything (I think) and I still do not have the foggiest notion of why we would be discussing Roy Barr's choice of men's lingerie!! Strange minds move in strange directions back there in Arkansas. Sally in North Idaho where such delicate subjects are kept in private, not babbled all over the Internet country to country, continent to continent. Just think of all this free publicity Shirley is getting for her husband. No wonder the "lurkers" are scared to come in!

Same here, Sally, I'm a bit baffled. I have never in the slightest been interested in what type of underwear any guy wears, but by now I really am curious about Roy's preference. no, i read your post on all the things you were going thru , brains being fried, etc. and burst out laughing to myself later in the afternoon (delayed reaction) and felt i must respond in some way. yes it did conjure up a visual. this is inbetween laying on a heating pad on and off all day; something i can't stress manage myself out of. it's the only thing that made me laugh all day.

I thought that you probably had some theory on something but apparently it was just to complete your "visual"? later that evening, for some unexplained reason, Phil brought me a box of french hand dipped raspberry chocolates. i thanked him profusely, it was so sweet and he said i had better like them as they were very expensive. i think i'll return to my heating pad for awhile.

Out of curiosity, just how pitiful does one have to be before one's significant other will go out and buy a box of french, hand-dipped raspberry chocolates? They sound wonderful. Do you think that it was the heating pad thing and whimpering about how miserable you were or the fact that you totally cracked hours after you read my post about my brain being fried and then your post asking about Roy's underwear? Was Phil aware of this "visual" that you needed to complete? Just asking as I'd like to know what I need to do to get raspberry chocolates.Shirley in AR. Addendum to my jealousy of a cat-the meowing didn't work for me but it does work for our parrot. Whenever the parrot wants attention from Roy or his head scratched, he meows (the parrot does) and Roy hops right up and lavishes him with attention. Wonder why it didn't work for me?

Meowing like a cat dosen't get any attention from Roy? My husband always makes over our dog so much. He said she always is there to greet him when he comes home & licks his face. I told him I didn't know that was what he wanted. Maybe Roy just dosen't understand what you want. Billie

your parrot meowws? how funny. no phil doesn't know anything about this. he's a very talented computer programmer who deigns to help me on my computer sometimes. the chocolates were just out of the blue, he's very good to me. but his comment was probably typically male.
