7/31 i received 100 units of botox, (lesser dosages
had not worked)

for the most part i'm doing great with this botox
yesterday i had trouble driving bigtime. can i
have a subconscious nervousness.

i read on a webpage to take 500 mg of magnesium

Hi Rhonda,
I'm glad that the higher dose of botox seems to be helping better. You will still have bad days and good days, even if the botox is working. Stress will make things worse. Driving seems to be a problem for a lot of us. You might try singing or humming or talking non-stop while you are driving. That sometimes helps. If other people are in the car and are talking, that might also close your eyes down. If light sensitivity is a problem, be sure and wear some wrap around sunglasses that block out the light from the side, too.

I take a Magnesium supplement but I can't tell if it helps with spasms or not. I really can't tell that it does.

Shirley in AR.

PS-if you don't see your post right away, you may just need to hit "Refresh" at the top of the page and that should bring your post up.

I take magnesium and calcium. I heard that one needs the other to work. If it's going to help, it will take awhile. Also chewing gum while driving sometimes helps. Some people say it makes it worse. We are a strange group. Also, I choose my route so I can pull over if I need to. Ann Doyle

Driving seems to be a universal problem with beb. No matter how well my botox has worked, I have struggled with driving every time for 6 years. I can't count the number of curbs I have hit. I tried magnesium (it must be taken with calcium.) It didn't seem to help me at all and also made me feel sick. I also live in the Dallas metroplex (Allen) and have 2 daughters - Morgan is 6 and Cory is 3. I also receive 100 units of botox every 8 weeks. Who is your doctor?

Is he an opthalmologist or neurologist? I see both - James Merritt at presby and Maureen Wooten-Watts across the street from presby.

He is a opthalmologist & plastic surgeon.

I think I have so much fear now of expecting problems
that I am causing some. I don't know if that is possible.

I live in the north eastern part of Dallas.
