Newcomer sharing good news

I posted a message last weekend looking for info, and many were gracious to respond. Just wanted to share good news. I got botox injections yesterday with a wonderful doctor ( a neuro-opth). He injected my eyes, face and neck. Already, there is a dramatic difference and I am reading, looking at this screen with no problem and driving comfortably. I was out shopping today, and it was wonderful. There are still spasms, but it is something I can live with. I know that the botox will be kicking in more over the next few days so I am very optimistic. I will also be following up with a neurologist and taking klonopin.

Does anyone have a story with a happy ending?? Do people get this under control with botox and live reasonably normal lives?? This doctor said he had not seen a case as bad as mine for awhile. I'm not ready to greive just yet. I'm going to wait and see how this works. I'd like to hear others stories.

What an encouraging report, JoAnna! It sounds almost miraculous. Botox must have been the answer for you. We'll hope the good results continue. I've not heard of anyone else who had such major improvement with one session, but am sure there are some. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing your good news. Do you know what the total units of botox you received? Was also wondering where in the neck and face he
injected you and how much he used. Thanks. Joanne M. San Diego, CA

This is a good place to come to encourage and to be encouraged as needed. There is a great bunch of people here that will support you at all times and some that are very knowledgeable they are all a true blessing. I do not get to post much but I do when the opportunity comes. I also receive Botox around the eyes, face, jaws, and neck. Thank you for posting God Bless......Rolando

I had good results the first time too. I woke up the next day with normal eyesight. However after 3 1/2 weeks it had partially worn off--Just a bit and it stayed at that level until 2 1/2 months after the Botox. I'm due for my 3rd. series Sept. 20 and can hardly wait.
I know two people in my town that have been getting injections around their eyes for 10 years.
Where do people get injections around their mouth? Neck? I have Meige which keeps getting worse and now I know my neck has spasms. I haven't had any Botox for either. Ann Doyle
