No symptoms

To Mindy
What was Dr B's reaction when you had no symptoms during exam?
Two doctors have asked me to "make it happen" and I couldn't. Hadn't heard about Lynn's trick yet.
Did you bring pictures or video?
Can you give me some pre visit advice?
Thanks!
Barb

Barb, sometimes doctors will take you out into the sunlight to see if that will set your eyes off. For those of us that are light sensitive, this will usually do the trick.
I'm sure that you could take pictures or a video would be great.
I don't think, from hearing Mindy speak of Dr. Bressman, that it will make too much of a difference if your eyes and face don't act up while you are there. She will understand. I'm sure that Mindy will give you some advice when she can.

Lynn's trick doesn't work for me.

I agree with Shirley that an experienced doctor will understand. But if he/she can't see your symptoms, they may not be able to give you the best treatment. I have done both - videos and still photos. If you do a video, you need to send it in advance, as some doctors may not be able to watch it immediately if you take it with you to your appointment.

Good luck,
Virginia in AL

Barbara,
Dr.Bressman usually has a "Fellow" during consultation.
They are movement specialists that are trained to spot things that
we don't even notice. Feel confident knowing this is all they deal with
day in and day out. She will spend a long time talking AND listening with you, while she is watching you.
Being you had botox, she might tell you to squeeze your eyes shut as she
tries to lift your lid, to see how much botox is still in effect.
I did not bring pictures. When my meige started I did mail a video.
I did bring my husband, my sister in law, my tape recorder, and a list of questions. I was not about to trust our memory, and she gave me permission to be taped.
Every visit from then on, I brought a list of questions, with a space
in between to fill in her answers.
I think it's very important and helpful for yourself and your doctor
to keep a daily record of dates and symptoms, especially if you are also put on meds.
God Bless,
Mindy
