Re: Getting the Word Out
Hi Nilda,
Glad that you are safe, also. I hope that you will soon hear good news about your neighbors and friends that might have been in the area.I tried to go to www.jrnlcom. and the site that you are talking about wouldn't come up for me. Possibly I did something wrong? Shirley in AR.

Re: Getting the Word Out
Thanks Virginia, That link worked and I was able to read it and print it out. Sorry to hear about your friend. It's truly been a bummer of a day. I'm not even going to pick on you today. Nothing at all funny about this day. Just sadness.Shirley in AR. Hurting for so many people.
Re: Getting the Word Out
I'm going to pick on you Shirley. You should have realized that I made a mistake in leaving out the dot before com in the web address I posted. I'm glad you gott the right address.
I sppoke to my borther-in-law this morning (he works 3 blocks away from the World Trade Center. He and his daughter were able to go home to New Jersey late yesterday. He made the comment that so many have made-that looking out of his office building was like watching a movie. When the second tower went down, it was so dark that it looked as if night had come. Let's all just pray now for all everyone involved in any way, their loved ones, and all of us.
Re: Pick away, Nilda :-)
You are allowed to pick on me. I pick on others enough that I deserve it at least every now and then.
I did try to put the dot in before Com but that led me to somewhere that didn't look like what you had described and in typical computer ditz fashion, I immediately became overwhelmed and put out a plea for help. Virginia, of course, rescued me. This is her little way of letting me know that she knows much more about computers than I ever will. Maybe I should not pick on her quite so much. She would become bored I'm afraid if I did that, though. I try to keep her on her toes. She, of course posted a link for me that I didn't have to use any brain power for (which is something that needs to be done for me in these situations) and all I had to do was click and then read.I thought that it was a good article but like you would have liked to have seen a little more about BEB. Every little bit helps, though, Nilda. You did good. I'm glad that your family is safe. Shirley in AR. who is still watching the news.
Re: Getting the Word Out
Thank you so much for recommending the article in Alexandria On-line. I immediately sent it to my sister in Alexandria, Va and she contacted Georgetown University Hospital to make an appointment with Dr. Pamela Blake. My sister has already seen Dr. Pam for a consultation and will be getting botax injections from her this coming week.NILDA, THANK YOU SO MUCH. WE HAD BEEN SEARCHING FOR A NEURO-OPTHAMOLOGIST FOR THE LAST SIX MONTHS! SINCE MY SISTER HAS GLAUCOMA AS WELL, IT IS IMPERATIVE FOR HER TO BE TREATED BY SOMEONE WHO HAS KNOWLEDGE IN BOTH FIELDS. GOD BLESS YOU! WILL KEEP ALL YOU BLEPHRO BABES UP-TO-DATE!
Re: Getting the Word Out
i'm sorry about your friend but i'm not understanding what i just read. there wasn't any botox mentioned but an article about gastrointestinal reflux disorder.
Re: Getting the Word Out
Kathy,
Geri was referring to my posting from September 11 which dealt wit the uses of Botox. The gatro article is from this past Tuesday. I tried to get it from their archives but was not successful. Someone more computer savvy may be able to help you. If you email me your full name and address I can snail mail you a copy. My email address is VABEBRF@aol.com.

Re: Getting the Word Out
Nilda, I forgot to mention that Dr. Pam asked my sister how she heard about her practice and was very pleased she read it in Alexandria On-Line and also that my sister is a member of the BEBRF. Added note: when my sister first called to ask for an appointment, they gave her Dec. 31st which would have been disastrous as my sister is suffering a lot and has missed a great deal of work. Since she only had two previous botax injections with two different doctors, she would have to wait six months for her appointment. I encouraged her to call back and tell the scheduler about her dilemma. That's why she had the consultation within days of getting the article you recommended. Again, I am so grateful to you for "GETTING THE WORD OUT."
Re: Getting the Word Out
