New Neurologist Today

I saw a new female neurologist in my community(remember the one I found in Columbia moved to Florida) and I'm happy to say I loved her! She was absolutely terrific...my kind of woman and she is a doctor....hip hip hooorahhhhhhh! She was very compassionate and a good listener....said I was the boss...now you know I loved that to pieces. She said the Klonopin was what she uses most often along with Botox and was delighted that a 1/4 mg helped me. I can really tell when it wears off. More does not last longer or help any more...just makes me feel drained if I take more. So I'm to stick with that dose about every 4 hours up to 4 or 5 times a day. She added Celebrex for the fibromyalgia and said the Klonopin with Celebrex worked well for many of her patients. I'm still doing all those other things...massage, chiropractor, Spiru-tein. Stopped the Ambrotrose after finishing the bottle. My eyes have been so dry, I've continued the Moisture eyes just in case. Still do better if I'm digging in the dirt...I've been re-doing a stone walkway and it has turned into a Major Project...I'm famous for that...seemed like a good idea and simple...until it rained and left the low place looking like a fish pond. Which might not have been so bad except you had to jump over it to get through the gate...not a good thing. So I'm having to bury 30 feet of 4" drainage pipe to keep water flowing in the right direction away from the path when it rains. You should see my muscles...I'm trying to do it a little at a time, but it is hard not to over do it and oh my aching body when I don't listen to myself!...But as I've said so many times when I get involved doing something in my yard, I forget about the BEB for long periods of time and it is great. You can take the girl off the farm, but you can't take the farmer out of the girl I suppose. I could have saved a lot of money on 43 years of education to end up with a Master's degree just to end up as a master landscaper. Oh well. You never know where life will lead you...sometime it is full circle and a lot wiser than when you left. I'm rambling, it's late.

Delaine, I'm glad that you found someone that will work with you and that you like. Hope the Celebrex helps with the aches and pains. I bet it does.
Let us know how your landscaping project goes. And remember to blink when you are working out there concentrating on playing in the dirt.

Shirley in AR.

Delaine, you sound great. Glad to hear you found this neurologist who
appears to be so cooperative. Hopefully, her injection techniques equal
these other qualities. I've heard for many years now about the healing
qualities of working in the "dirt". So, why not master landscaper??
I call it doing what works and the full circle idea about life I am finding to be very true. At least half the battle is coming to terms
with this disorder. I am highly encouraged by your recent posts.
Thanks for sharing your openness with us ...:<) Joanne M. San Diego, CA

Yes she wants me to take Celebrex 2 times a day from now on with the Klonopin, too. 2 caps 2 times a day for 2 weeks then cut back to 1 cap 2 times a day with morning and evening meal. I usually take the Klonopin as soon as I get up, and then about every 4 hours for the rest of the day. I think with all the digging in the clay dirt I've been doing, my FMS isn't as bad as it usually is with that amount of hard labor I've done. I was trying to beat the rain so I worked for several hours morning and afternoon with a long break to rest. I didn't get it done so the rain gave me the day off and I cleaned house all day long. I had really neglected it with every excuse I could think of to be outside. It's not bad once I actually do it...but I'm not really a very good domestic goddess. I like my dirt neat...I hate clutter...but I don't really like dusting, cleaning bathrooms and I hate to vacuum almost as much as ironing. My body and energy have been pretty good which is a miracle. It has been in the high 60's and low 70's at night and tonight it is dropping in the 40's......ouch. High only in 60's tomorrow. Wish we didn't go from one extreme to the other. Sunday was very hot and humid. Typical Tennessee weather, changes drastically. I'm suppose to get Botox Oct. 4th so I'll know soon how good Dr. Lucy is with her technique. She spent a lot of time with me and said, Gosh you need Botox here, here, and here really bad as she pointed to places around my eyes. I got the last Botox July 10th so it will be early, but she said she'd give it every 2 months if I needed it.
