Hi all. Sorry I missed your post Christine and thankyou to Lyn for pointing it out to me. I would love be in contact with you and help if I can. I know Ken in Cambridge and him and his wife are good value and I'm sure they would help you too.
I am 45 and Live in Hamilton. I, like you, have 3 children and I am homeschooling the younger 2. Every 3mths I go to Auckland for my injections that I have had for the last 10yrs. I have had BEB for 12yrs and was pretty blind when my youngest was born. The botox helps, sometimes it is a lucky dip and we just wait and see how good it is 'this time.'
You are in the right place here to get answers to your questions and the best LAUGH THERAPY you could ask for from people who know exactly where you are coming from.
If you want to get in touch you can e-mail me mancer_j@hotmail.com
There are quite a few people here with BEB it is just a matter of getting them to come out of the woodwork.
Cheerz everyone.
Jenny from NZ.

It's good to hear I'm not the only one around in NZ. I have only had these eye spasms for 6 months fulltime, so I'm new to this. I'm not sure what to do next really. I live in Christchurch and our house is for sale and we are moving to Wellington sometime, so might wait until we get there.By the way, the tip to put your head back to watch tv works, it's weird. Thanks to everyone for their notes, my eyes aren't as bad as yours Shirley, I hope you get some relief soon.

Hi Christine. Well what do you know, I used to live in CHCH and I saw a wonderful Dr. there. His name is Dr. Anderson at the CHCH hospital.
He is a nuerophysiologist and him and his partner (can't remember his name) were both great. Maybe you could see him and get some relief before you move to Wellington. It would make the shift less stressful. I know there is a Dr. at the Wellington hospital who gives botox aswell.
You'll find all sorts of tips on this BB and they all sound weird but thru' trial and error you will find what works for you.
You could ask which ever Dr. you decide to go to, to put you in touch with someone with BEB.
I Hope you are all having a nice day.
Cheerz
Jenny.

Hi Jenny from New Zealand. I have friends living in Christchurch. Are you anywhere near there? Do you know Gail in Tazmania? Welcome to the BB.

Dee in OR

Hi Dee.
I used to live Christchurch but now I am up in the North Island.
Christchurch is a beautiful place.
No, I don't know Gail from Tazmania.
Surely there are more Kiwi's out there who see this. We don't really get to know about each other and as far as I know there are no support groups.
Cheerz
jenny, where the sun is shinning and another great day for the washing.

Hi Dee,
I'm not Jenny, I'm Christine and yes I do live in Christchurch. Tasmania is in Australia, not New Zealand.
