...just read the symptoms in this link...and the one it doesn't mention is facial twitching and spasms...
my new doc has suggested that I am likely to be magnesium deficient, and I am now on supplements..and being tested (blood) for my magnesium levels. it is a really common deficiency..If I do have a severe deficiency I will need a series of mag injections to boost my levels..I'l keep you posted..

As usual , Claire, your posts are interesting. I was taking the magnesium aspartate for awhile but have kind of let up on it abit. Maybe i should start agin. I have been semi-following this low carb diet, eliminating mostly bread but eating fruits and vegetables and a lot of nuts. I just hate swallowing pills.

Claire and Kathy, your post hit home. I take a powder form of magnesium and calcium. I mix 2 tsp. in eight oz. of water, and drink one half hour before going to bed. I think it does help.

..my doc reckons that I need to be taking 600mgs of magnesium a day. If the blood work he has done show that I am still deficient I will have to have magnesium jabs!
Yikes,
Love,
Claire
