Second Visit With New Doctor

Hi Everybody

Yesterday I had my Botox and KNOW I made the right decision in staying with the new ophthalmologist. He was so caring and got very upset when he accidentally hit a blood vessel. He immediately applied pressure and kept it up for several minutes. My previous doctor did it all the time and thrust a tissue at me and said - hold this. This new doctor applied the pressure himself and kept apologizing. The result is a very small discolouration and does not look at all like a black eye which is what I used to look like all the time after my Botox injections.

I actually waited a week too long - it wore off very quickly - I tried to go 11 weeks but it seems 10 would be better. So I have made another appointment for 10 weeks. He does not mind when I come - said to make the appointment when I wanted. I cannot believe how LUCKY I am to have found him - all due to you girls and your advice.

Furthermore, I am only out of pocket $1.60 (.80c US) this time so he is not a greedy man like my previous doctor.

Lyn in Spring and so grateful I discovered the BEB BB

Great news! There are good doctors out there, sometimes it just takes action to find them. Good for you for taking the steps you needed.

Thanks Delaine, Shirley, Sally and Dee

I am really so happy that I never have to worry about when my next Botox will be scheduled. With the appointment already made, I can relax and I'm sure the lack of stress in this regard can only do good. Thanks for all your good wishes.

Sally, my friend has a son in your neck of the woods so said she would try and get through. It is a great mystery, isn't it why your ISP rejects mine. I will send via Gina.

Lyn happy in Spring and weeding like mad

Lyn, I'm really glad to hear that you have found a really good doctor that is caring and compassionate and knows what he is doing.

One of the things that a doctor at the last BEB conference said was that he tried to keep improving his sites and dosages so that the botox would eventually last the patient a full three months or longer. That is what he worked to achieve for each patient. He realized that sometimes it didn't happen but that was his goal-for the patient to have good benefit and relief of their symptoms for 3 months.
Just something that I remembered that had impressed me at the time.(but forgot)

Shirley in AR happy for Lyn in Australia and glad that the bb "worked"

Hi Lyn,

I received the message from your friend today ... don't know why hers came through when yours won't. I keep forgetting to call my ISP and ask "Why?" Will try to remember tomorrow.

Glad to hear your good news. It is so encouraging to have a supportive, caring doctor.

Sally in North Idaho whose computer won't accept Lyn's meesages from across the pond.
