Re: Colored glasses
Hi Betty, I really do not know about F1-41, but about a year ago, my sister-in-law suggested that I try photo-grey lenses in my glasses. They proved to be a God-send to me. Before the photo-greys, my eyes were very light-sensitive and really bothered me, especially when I tried to read, work on my computer, or go into a place with florescent lighting. These are supposed to be improved from the photo-greys they used to have. They automatically adjust to the any type of light and when you go out into the sunshine, the turn to sunglasses. Really makes a difference.
Re: Colored glasses
yes, I'm very pleased with mine. I have one at 45% & feel they really help with the light sensitivity. I wear mine indoors & when I'm outside I also use the sunglasses over the Fl-41 glasses. A big help.

Re: Colored glasses
Hi Joanne-thanks for the information. I'm wondering do you think the Fl-41 is better than the black or very dark, when you go outside? Do you know around the price of these kind? Thanks--Betty
Re: Colored glasses
Hi Betty,I really like my FL-41 tinted glasses. I have a 55%tint and they are great for reducing glare. Hard to see at night though. If you want more info check out the link. Dee in OR

Re: Colored glasses
Hi Betty and welcome to the bulletin board. I have two pairs of the FL-41s. One pair at the lightest tint for inside and one with the darkest tint for outdoors. Mine do help. I do still wear wrap-around solar shield sunglasses on over them when I go outside or ride in the car. They come in three different degrees of tints and can be obtained in Salt Lake City Utah. Many people at the conference this year were wearing them and most agreed that they were helpful.Shirley in Arkansas with BEB and Apraxia
Re: Colored glasses
Dear Friends, I sent a pr. of old glasses to Knight optical to have the tint put on them, received a phone call, they could not do it on them as they were glass lenses, can only use it on the plastic lenses.Edith
Re: Colored glasses
Good thing to know, Edith. There also can't already be a tint or anti-glare coating on your lenses. The other tints and coatings have to be removed before they can put the FL-41 tint on them.Shirley in Arkansas where the fall leaves are at their peak and they are beautiful (especially with rose colored glasses on)
Re: Colored glasses/edith
you can have new lenses made with the tint in it. as opposed to just a coating.
Re: Colored glasses
yes! they help immensely.
