Re: Good news
That was a very touching and well-written account. Thank you so much for sharing it and especially sharing it with your newspaper! I have written my share of letters to servicemen but only because everytime I would get a boyfriend while in my teens they would go off and join the Army or something. When one of them came home to take me to my high school senior homecoming and I introduced him to one of my best friends they ended up together! My husband was out of the Army when I met him so that's why I married him :-)).
What is the name of the newspaper who might interview you? Let us know when that happens.

Re: Good news
Way to go Delaine! I sent a copy of my interview to the BEBRF and they never even acknowledged it! I even mentioned it to Mary Lou at the conference and she just kind of shrugged it off. So I hope you get better results.Hugs, Dee
Re: Good news
Oh well, we were proud and I'm sure it made a big difference as far as awareness and you may never know how many lives were touched and helped by it. I thought it was wonderful and take it to every support meeting and display it for others to read and encourage them to try to get the word out there any way they can. You did good. Maybe Mary Lou was preoccupied about something else. Mary Smith always is delighted when I share what I've done to get the word out there. We are doing this for others and that is what counts. Three cheers for anyone who can get an article printed or speaks to a group or educates one other person.
Re: Good news
Wonderful news, Delaine. Your article was so heart-warming and I'm sure it touched many people. Good luck on the BEB interview. You are doing a great PR job for BEB.On Tuesday, I had the opportunity to introduce a doctor and two nurses to the wonders of BEB while I was in Urgent Care. They wrote it down and said they were going to look it up ... asked for correct spelling. Sally in North Idaho where the day started out beautiful and ended up drizzly.
Re: Good news
Write, call, or email the foundation and they will send you the little business cards with info on one side about BEB and the other about the BEBRF. I take brochures to doctor's offices but the cards are great and take up less room if you don't have the brochure. Come on everybody, keep spreading the word and the cards and brochures really help and they are free and as many as you want. I do send small donations as I can to help cover some of their costs.
