Hi Bob

This has happened to me twice so thought it worth mentioning as it is so funny!

I get the message: "The following 500 messages have been found since your last visit Wed 31, Dec 1969."

1969 ???????? Had BEB even been heard of then?

Well, I certainly had the condition then, although I didn't have a name for it until 1990. My spasms started about 1960 but went undiagnosed until my psychiatrist figured out what it was. My GP's, opthalmologists, and neurologists had never seen the condition before, not even in print.

But you're right: the message certainly is funny. It may be caused by an old Y2K problem in some network code.

The software uses cookies to determine which posts you have read. The first time you use the "last visit" option, there isn't a previously set cookie to refer to so the system starts at 1969 which is the earliest year some software/systems recognize. If you have cookies enabled, "last visit" should work correctly the next time. You can cause this error to occur again if you delete the cookie named forumsbeb in your browser.
