Botox injections pulling brows up

Had my 3rd set of injections last Wednesday. 1st with new doctor at Wills Eye.

Looks promising so far. The other doctors wanted to do surgery on the 19th of this month for the droopy brows and this new doctor seems to have pulled them up by injecting Botox in the right spots. He didn't say he was going to do that but my brows seem to be up and not so much excess baggage in the lids. Was able to go without my cane today. Know I will need it when it wears off but it is really nice to be able to walk normally at least some of the time. Learning to appreciate the good times when I have them.

Had to laugh, received a note to let me know I have my pre-admission testing for surgery this Wednesday and I had called a few weeks ago the surgeon's office and told the girl to cancel the surgery I was going for another opinion at Wills. The miscommunication at this practice is frightening.

It just goes to show you that going to support groups and conferences can put you in touch with doctors that are better qualified to help us. Others may treat this but they may not specialize in this disorder.

Coleen in Central PA who is looking forward to preparing for Christmas with her eyes open. Even painted pots today...I think this thing is making me appreciate the good days and do things I haven't done before. God bless!

Coleen, What part of Central PA are you from? I am originally from Philadelphia (Germantown) then Roslyn, then Oahu, Hawai'i then California for 20 years and now Oregon.

Glad you got that second opinion and aren't having the surgery. Also hoping we can all keep our eyes open for Christmas.

Coleen, it's good to hear that the injections are working well for you. I'm glad that you went for that 2nd opinion. I'm not against surgery (I've had it) but other treatment options, I feel, should be tried first. You've done good, girl.
Isn't it amazing what a little injection given in the right spots will do?
I'm happy for you.
