Re: Botox injections
Sounds like normal reactions to me. What you are experiencing is what most people experience. Wait another week and see how your eyes respond.

this is where the dark shades or fl41's will come in handy, becca. the light sensitivity is overwhelming for a lot of us. i have had the sensation of my eyelids feeling like lead weights before; very , very uncomfortable. this however has not happened in a while.

I used to react to botox just like that. In the beginning my eye lids wouldn't close even to blink so when I was subjected to bright light I couldn't close them, hence the watering. I would also get ptosis, double vision and blurred vision. With my current doctor I don't usually have any side effects at 100 units. I don't know if it is the way he injects or that I have adjusted to receiving the 100 units. My eye lids still get that heavy feeling however. I have seen myself on video before and when I blink my eyes stay closed for a second before I can pull them open again. The botox weakens the muscles so they are a little harder to open.

The watering could also be caused by injections too close to the nose area on the bottom of the eye - you could check the injections sites next time and see if the doctor could move that particular one a bit. Otherwise you seem to be having normal after side effects of the botox I think.

Becca: I have had those experiences. One note...be careful when taking a shower. I have noticed that right after my BOTOX and my eyes felt like that, the lids didn't close tight enough to keep water out when you take a shower. So be ready with a washcloth when you take a shower or wash your hair! I am getting my BOTOX tommorrow....I am keeping my fingers crossed.
