Spell Checker

Posted by Webmaster ® , Jan 20,2002,19:52   Archive
The Spell Checker we were using was free - paid for by the banner ads which appeared when you used it. Well, there were no longer enough advertisers so there is no lomger a free spell checker. We would have to pay $150 per year to continue to have a built-in spell checker. For those of you who want to spell check your postings, I suggest you compose your message in your word processor, use its spell check and then paste the text into the Message box.

Does anyone use it? I never do. It isn't too difficult to figure out what everyone is saying and to overlook the errors. Just a thought.

I routinely used it but have found that I don't actually miss it very much. And like Bob was saying there are other ways to use a spell check if one is so motivated. I'm not.

I'll get over my lack of spellcheck(basically, I think that I like to complain about things-in a loving way, though)
Sally, you mispelled Idaho. Alright, alright, don't hit me!

I really don't worry about others typos-just my own. Is it that perfectionist personality that some of us have?

Shirley, how dare you insinuate that I might not be perfect at all times! A perfectionist such as yourself would never have a friend who was prone to making errors.

Turn off your a/c. I'm sending you some of our chilly wind.

I've never used the spell checker (if I had I would have thought (wrongly) that it was part of my own software--what do I know! I just wing it and hope for the best as I can't look at a moving screen anyway.
