I Rhonda, I did apply for and do receive social security disability. I was denied the first time and appealed and it was approved on appeal. I did not obtain an lawyer but did it myself. You have to have good letters from your doctor or doctors. They must be supportive of you or you will get no where. You also cannot apply for SSD if you are working. You might want to check into short term or long term disability with your employer. I did not have this.

Good luck with this and your decision. The decision to stop work wasn't anything that I had to make a decision about. There was no way that I could work.
