Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KELLY
I also want to wish you a Happy Birthday. Be good to yourself today and make no demands upon yourself and just enjoy your girls and hubby. Allow your girls to enjoy your day with you and that will be your greatest gift.Shirley
Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KELLY
Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! Aron took the girls for donuts while I slept in and I woke up at 7:30 to them singing "Happy Birthday" with a candle in a donut. Original, huh? They were so excited I opened my gifts right there in bed. Aron and I coached a 1 1/2 hour soccer practice this morning and we are at home as a family until 5 when the babysitter comes and he takes me out. We haven't been out in 3 months so I'm looking forward to that.

Re: catherine/visor
I just received the visor and I think it is going to help. I need my husband to help me get it adjusted so that it fits snuggly against my face. Looking forward to a windy soccer practice so I can put it to the test. The man at the optical store was sooo nice. Thanks for helping me out!

Re: KELLY/VISOR?
I haven't followed up on the Calgary optiical store yet Kelly. What can you tell me about material of visor, darkness of glasses, price, etc. etc? Thanks for any information. June in Toronto
Re: KELLY/VISOR?
I think I bought the last one he had but it would be worth checking on. The cap is a light weight materialand the bill is made of lycra, neoprine and velcro cloth. The glasses are flexible and attach to the bill of the cap around to the sides. The lens is dark grey and looks almost mirrored. And it fits over glasses. I haven't put it to the test yet so hopefully it will work for me.

Re: KELLY/VISOR?
Thanks Kelly. I find the `mirrored look' seems to reflect the sun back to me (maybe I'd odd in that respect!). They also sound like they would be big (the glasses), as I don't have to wear glasses, for reading, on a regular basis, they would wobble on their own. I can see they would work if I had to wear 2 pairs of sun glasses.June in Tronto (beb/meige) - its absolutely freezing out there today, but sunny. The sidewalks are clear of ice and snow more or less which is a plus.
Re: KELLY/VISOR?
JuneYou do not have to wear glass with this product. It fits snuggly to your face as they are attached with velcro and you can adjust them to fit accordingly. My only problem with it is that I get a little warm wearing it, but it is excellent for being in the sun and wind expecially for things like boating, cycling, coaching soccer, etc.

Re: VISOR/Catherine
Thanks Catherine - I just phoned the optical store and they "believe the company that produced them has gone under". The very nice lady at the store is checking out who manufactured it and getting back to me. Kelly did buy the last one!June in Toronto (beb/meige)
Re: VISOR/Catherine
June
I will check around here for another sourse as my opthamologist was the one who recommended it to me. He is a cyclist and uses it for long distance rides. Catherine
Re: VISOR/Catherine
Thanks Catherine, appreciate that. The lady from the visor store didn't check back with me - perhaps she just didn't find another source. She had indicated that she thought the visor company had gone out of business - also said the ophthalm. in her building was the one that had them bring in the caps/visors as he'd seen them elsewhere.June in Toronto (beb/meige)
