Re: BOTOX web site/Approved Uses
Dee, I went to the BOTOX web page- and on the left - under CONSUMER CONNECTION column - I clicked on Approved Uses and it brought me to a page which read -BOTOX is currently approved for the following: Blepharospasm, Strabismus(??) and Cervical Dystonia.

Strabismus is cross-eyedness or cock-eyedness, caused by failure of the eye muscles to respond properly. Botox can be used to weaken the muscles so the eyes will line up properly.
Re : Re: BOTOX web site/Approved Uses --- Nancy Williams Posted by Lynn Yarbrough ® , Feb 18,2002,14:19 Top of Thread Archive I have a form of strabimus _caused_ by Botox: for several weeks after my shots I have normal vision up to about 30 degrees off center, but when I look off center more than 30 deg., I get double images. It's not a serious problem, just a minor nuisance.

I got into the link ok. Botox was first used for strabismus by a Dr. Scott in the U.S.A. and, finding that it worked on the muscles so well, the doctors began using for other problems, i.e., beb and cd, etc.
