"We went to a new restaurant last week, that I think you would enjoy."
"Oh", said the other, "what's it called?"
There was a pause as the first man thought. "Oh... what's the name of that flower? You know, the one with thorns and red leaves..."
"You mean a rose?"
"Yes, that's it. Rose!", he shouted, "What was the name of that restaurant we went to last week?"

Re: Growing old can be funny
Lynn I enjoyed your joke, even though I had heard it before, it is still funny. There is humor in lots of things if you just look for it. I used to tell my girls that I couldn't wait until I got old enough that people would just excuse my goofy actions by saying I was just old, and that was why I acted that way.

the only funny thing i have read all week is a joke from Laura Bush, which i do hope she doesn't mind me quoting..."the president is now practicing safe snacks."
