Hi Nancy, I think you might be new to the board, so welcome. I see you are the Texas area rep - do you have beb? Most of us on this bb are getting botox - all with varying results. I, too, am one of the lucky ones that it works for me, albeit with a lot of side effects, but (usually and thank God) it keeps my eyes open most of the time. I've had beb/meige for about 7 years now and receive 90 units of botx approx. every 4-5 months. Hi Nancy,I have only been diagnosed for a little over a year and have had three sets of injections. Two from a local neuro-ophal and the last batch from an ocular-plastic in Philly. The first two didn't last longer than 4 to 6 weeks. The last batch I had had been working very well and I will be going back this Weds for more. This batch has worked pretty well until about the last couple of weeks. The sites have raised my droopy eyebrows and lids and that has helped. I would think they may increase the dosage from the 65 units I had in Dec. The sites seemed to have worked very well. I still am not able to drive and hope that in the future I may be able to at least when the dosage is most effective and the conditions are right.
Hope everyone is doing well on the BB. I haven't posted lately because I couldn't find my new password after the computer crashed. However, I have been lurking and reading each day at the office.

Hi Nancy, from Western AustraliaI have had BEB for 13 years and have been having Botox for about 11 years now. I have an excellent result in that life is almost normal. Have just found a new doctor thanks to all I have learned on this BB and he has changed my injection sites and reduced to number of units from 75 to 40 and I get a much better result! It is all in the injection sites, I believe. If the right muscles are targeted, the result is so much better. My previous doctor did everyone the same - regardless of which muscles were actually spasming.
When I say life is almost normal, I still have the odd spasm but I can drive, read and watch TV most of the time. What more could one want? It helps to stay positive and try not to think about it.
