MAKING YOUR OWN TEARS

Hi everyone. I have been very busy lately with building a new house and trying to seel this one. Also had company and tomorrow I go to Ontario to visit family. I had my botox shots today from a different doctor. My usual one is so busy that I thought I should have another one just in case I can't get in to see her when I need to. ANyway this doctor was the one who first diagnosed me. He seems to be a little better with his manner now. He is actually a neighbour of mine now!. I used lots of Emla cream and it helped quite a bit with the pain.
I will call him about the HydraEyes as see if he can get it here in Canada

I have found a web site that may be of interest to those of us that suffer from dry eyes. I have not tried this yet so I just wanted to let you all know about it. It gives complete instructions in getting your own tears made from your own blood.

www.drmirkin.com/morehealth/G113/htm

ANother one that might be useful to those who also have thyroid disease is www.thyroidfoundation.org. They have info on eye disease.
Hope this helps someone.

Catherine in Calgary who is trying to get caught up with the posts.

Hi Catherine, I couldn't get a link to that dry eye `drmirkin' website - are you sure you have listed it correctly? All I get is a blank page with 404 on the upper left-hand corner!

Sorry you are under so much stress right now with having a new house built and selling the other one - won't it be lovely though when it is all done with and you are settled in your new home? Good luck.

June in Toronto who doesn't envy Catherine all THAT stress.

Thanks, Catherine, it worked. They won't take my blood though as I had a very bad, long-winded dose of mononucleosis years ago - so I can't even consider it. Thanks for giving us the information though.
