DPS INTERVIEW TODAY

For those of you who remember, back in Dec the SSD judge approved my benefits but asked DPS to revoke my drivers license. They finally contacted me and I went to the local office today for an interview. Basically, the DPS officer told me he would file a report to be sent to a medical advisory board and it would be favorable. They may put some restrictions on my license but he said he really doesn't think they would revoke it altogether. He advised me to appeal if they do revoke it and he would tesify for me. He understood that I stay within 3-5 miles of home when I do drive and that my ability depends on my botox. The waiting is the worst so hopefully I can put this chapter in my life to bed SOON!

I have been asked to speak at the conference on the patient panel about getting SSD - boy will I have a story to tell!!!

Kelly in Dallas - where it is in the 70s and I'm listening to Christmas music with my 4 year old - go figure?!

Hope everything goes well. Yes I can relate to the Christmas music. My 5 year old granddaughter still likes to listen to her Chipmunks Christmas CD. So I have these voices in my head singing "I still want a hoola hoop .... a plane that loops the loops...."

Good news, Kelly. I had been wondering if that issue had ever been settled. Enjoy the Christmas music. It could be rap ... ugh!!!

Sally in North Idaho where it looked like Christmas last week.

I hope you get your restricted license, Kelly - it certainly sounds like you will. Good luck with talking at the conference about getting SSD - you seem too be getting the messages out a lot lately - good on you!

June in Toronto (beb/meige) who saw the film 'Snow Dogs' yesterday with 11-year-old grandaughter - a hoot!
