For those of you who remember, back in Dec the SSD judge approved my benefits but asked DPS to revoke my drivers license. They finally contacted me and I went to the local office today for an interview. Basically, the DPS officer told me he would file a report to be sent to a medical advisory board and it would be favorable. They may put some restrictions on my license but he said he really doesn't think they would revoke it altogether. He advised me to appeal if they do revoke it and he would tesify for me. He understood that I stay within 3-5 miles of home when I do drive and that my ability depends on my botox. The waiting is the worst so hopefully I can put this chapter in my life to bed SOON!I have been asked to speak at the conference on the patient panel about getting SSD - boy will I have a story to tell!!!
Kelly in Dallas - where it is in the 70s and I'm listening to Christmas music with my 4 year old - go figure?!
