Dallas Support Group Meeting

I'm proud to announce I held my first official support group meeting yesterday afternoon. The state coordinator, Nancy Townsend was there and so was Mary Lou Thompson, foundation president. The Allergan rep also came and provided drinks. She is going to be a great asset. We had a great turn out of 38! I solicited some help and we made items from the cookbook to serve as refreshments (I made cards for each item with the name and page number in the cookbook). We sold all the cookbooks Mary Lou brought! For those of you who attended, THANK YOU. For those who weren't able to, hope to see you at the next meeting in June.

Well done, Kelly - I hope the 38 people didn't end up in your home! Quite a crowd and you had some great well-known guests. Cooking recipes from `our' cookbook was a neat idea and one that obviously sold all the copies. Best wishes

Wonderful, Kelly! I'm proud of you and how far you've come since being laid low by this "thing." What a unique idea to cook up goodies from the cookbook and to sell the books there! Keep up the good work. I just wish I were near enough to come to your meetings.

Yeah Kelly! Great meeting. I look foward to the next. It was well worth the trip. I think I may go ahead and make an appt with Dr. Merrit sice you and several other blephs have had good luck with him. Keep up the good work. I really would like to hear more of your story because it sounds so much like mine. Also, more about your SS efforts. Thanks again, Ken

Wish that I could have been there, Kelly. That was a great idea about the cookbooks and having people make some of the recipes from it. Sounds like you are off to a good start.
The Allergan rep can be a tremendous asset to you in finding physicians, getting the latest scoop on BOTOX and just answering questions that come up.
I'm proud of all that you have done and accomplished. I'm looking forward to meeting you at the conference in August.

I'm so glad you will be in Houston so I can FINALLY meet you! Thanks for your encouraging words. I became a CPA because I would much rather crunch numbers behind a desk than to speak in front of people but I know that I am doing the right thing - both for those who attend and for myself. I actually did get interesting info from the BOTOX rep. She said that it sometimes takes more BOTOX the younger you are because the muscles are stronger and Allergan says you can go as high as 75 units per eye now. I'm going to ask my doctor to up my dosage slowly and see if I can get some better results. Keep you posted!
Kelly
