sound therapy box

Some of you may have noticed that I am not on this bb at ungodly middle of the night hours. I got one of those sound therapy machines, I believe Denise has one as well, and so far it is REALLY helping. It has a variety of sounds, such as ocean waves, rainforest, etc. and is helping me make up for some badly needed lack of sleep, lulling one back into sleep when one wakes up and is very soothing. Maybe it is also partially responsible for my better mood.

I've always wanted to get one of those nature sound machines. Whenever I say something about it or point one out to my hubby, he gets this glazed over expression and says "yes, dear, whatever you think". So I haven't gotten one yet.
Maybe if I told him that it would put me in a better mood and I would set freezer traps for him and squirt him with the garden hose, he would fill differently about it. :-)

Shirley in Arkansas who just uses a book tape with earphones if she can't sleep in the middle of the night. :-(

It was only $19.99, on sale from $35.00. i just slept again the entire night, feels very good , especially during this time in my life. By the way, Roy is adorable in the pictures i saw of him! so are your sons . One favors you more in looks, the other Roy. I am so glad you added the plant and garden category, it seems to be a facot many of us have in common. Judy does some really pretty things with her, However she does it roses! I love the pet page also. What a good thing you did!

Where did you get it, Kathy? Was it expensive? You have, indeed, sounded much cheerier these past few days. Hurrah for the sound machine!

I had been thinking for some time what, if anything , I was going to do about this problem; the bendryl that i took maybe 3 times making me feel not that good, so I espied this little contraption in the Spiegel catalogue , with my usual "don't really trust gimmicks or machines" attitude. Finally, I called them up in the middle of the night, said 'Happy middle of the night " , and ordered it. It just happened to be on sale and was out of stock for awhile so I had to wait for it.

Hello,
I just bought a sound therapy box at Walmart for 19.99. It is wonderful. Sounds of the rainforest, waterfall and the ocean and several others.

Thanks, Debbie. I'll check that out as we do have a WalMart not too far away.

I bought a sound therapy box about 3 months ago and its great. I love the one where the waves are crashing on the rocks - there are about 10 different sounds, including the heartbeat!

Hi everyone,

The sound box works really well - Huh? I got mine at Radio Shack about a year ago. I had tinnius at the time that was unnerving me and the box really helped me sleep. I still use it when I'm having trouble relaxing. Warm bubble bath, crashing waves...Calgon take me away!

Take Care
Denise
