I want to thank everyone for all your encouraging words and we do want to hear from all those who plan their visits to SLC Utah next. I appreciate you all not thinking my details were boring, but I would want to hear every bit of info to know what to expect if I were going. So again, anyone can feel free to ask questions. ALso a note, Dr. Anderson said rest, rest and rest. I'm not a rest, rest person, but it is catching up to me. So my advice is to listen to the doctor - rest while you recover! Many of you have said it, and now I'm listening, but I hate to be still. Mary Smith emailed me with the news about Dr. Anderson's father passing away and how timely my visit was for my surgery. I left on Thursday and his father passed away the following Tuesday. It is so horrible to lose any family member, but especially around the holidays. I understand he was around 90 had a bad heart. SSD Visit: I have felt to file for my SSD before the end of the year, so my daughter and I worked furiously through my limitations and went yesterday for a wasted visit. We had all the paperwork filled out, letters from 5 doctors along with all doctor's reports but Dr. Anderson's. After the long wait, they said I couldn't see a social worker that day - had to make an appointment!!! Figure that one! Guess when my appt. is? - December 31st - is that the 11th or 12th hour or what? I do pray that it all goes well and after all that I've been through to do my best to keep working that I'll get it the first time. I doubt anyone has applied for SSD with 3 myectomies under their belt. Any takers? I'm still always open for advice. You all have been great and have a very Jesus filled Christmas. Patti in SC with NO snow for Christmas as usual!
