| Rash on face-allergic reaction? |  | ||

Hi, I had my botox 1 month ago. I woke up 3 days ago with a strange rash under my chin and down my neck. Very red, tiny tiny bumps and itchy. Next morning the rash was all over my face, though mainly under my eyes and on my eyebrows, cheeks.
It may be something simple like a hand cream that I rubbed a bit on my face, etc..However, I have never had this happen before, and I have used all sorts of different moisturizers over the years. The fact that my eye area is so red and puffy..and now the eyes too, worries me. Could this be a delayed reaction to the botox? I have heard of people having allergic reactions..is this the type of thing that can happen? Or could this be stress related?? I don't feel stressed, but i think maybe I am~~work, home, eyes, etc.etc..And if it is something regular like a reaction to a creme, food,etc What can I do?? Besides wash with water only...and cold face clothes~ Thanx for your feedback! PattyT--(who doesn't know what to do with this icky face..as if my 'blinking' eyes weren't enough!!) |

I suspect it is the result of an allergy to some other substance. I show the same kind of allergic reaction to Erythromycin, an antibiotic: full-body rash. But I cannot recall reading of anyone with this kind of allergic reaction to Botox. But I'd ask my neurologist to check it out. --- Lynn |
