FL41 Rose Tint

I have finally found a place where I will be able to have the FL41 tint applied.

I have been told that the tint should be applied to regular prescription glasses or just plain glasses with no prescription. I don't know why but I thought it was applied over regular sunglasses if they did not have special coatings on them.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has the FL41 tint. Please let me know if your tint was applied to regular glasses or sunglasses.

Thanks for your help.

I found a website with a video regarding the FL41 tint ... The video is a little long...but worth seeing. The video is on the website of Axon Optics.

...Just to point out that the video of Dr. Katz presentation is on the BEBRF website, not on Axon's website

I've posted the link to the page that lists all the online videos from the 2009 Conference because there are many there that people might find of interest.

Axon Optics links to that and seems to be trying to make a business out of the findings. Good luck to them if it helps some people.

Have the tint applied to plain or RX glasses. 35% - 55% are fine for indoors. Use cocoon over-glasses when you go out into the sun. Works for me.

Mine are on my regular glasses that I wear day in and day out. They are kind of a rosy orange.....or an orangy rose. :o)

Best wishes.

I had my prescription glasses coated (about 40%) for use indoors (fluorescent lighting, TV viewing, computer use)and had sunglass lenses replaced with the FL-41 tinted lenses. The lenses had to be specially made for the sunglasses, so the prices was considerably more (about $100). I have found it to be worth it, though. The fit-over glasses with FL-41 tinting sound like a great option, as well. Good luck and here's to better eye days!

Hi, Donna,

There is a long thread started by your post on 8/1/12 about FL-41 tint for sunglasses that looks quite comprehensive & helpful!

Not sure if you re-visited that for your current purposes?

Good luck!

Dana
