Hi,

How often do you use the drops? Sounds like 'as needed'; but how often is that?

I assume your doctor told you to use it?

If it's fairly infrequent, I'd guess it's ok.

But it's a corticosteroid, and you have to watch out with prolonged use.
If you have irritation and so on, steroid eyedrops can dramatically improve things very fast.
For blepharitis, I had been prescribed FML and then another steroid drop—Lotemax. I used them 2 or 3 times a day (whatever Rx was; forget exactly, as this was 4 years ago). (Not using them at the same time.)

Several corticosteroids have as possible side effects glaucoma, cataracts (as well as light sensitivity). That does not of course mean you will develop any side effects, but to look out for them.

I developed cataracts and was told that particular kind was often associated with the eye drops I was using.

If you already had cataracts removed, you don't have to worry about that. But eye drops can affect and cause side effects in other parts of the body, so be watchful.
You may know all this already, but just in case..
