Hi! Had Botox injections on May 16th....very happy that the spasms when away next day! However, I am experiencing severe dry eyes, blurry vision...sometimes double vision. Using lubricating eye drops...helps for a little while. Getting frustrated! :(
Also aggravated ptosis...and will have to undergo muscle tightening procedure soon.... Modified by cocoacat at Mon, Jul 01, 2013, 21:45:26 |

Those side effects are not unusual. They probably mean you should get a slightly lower dose next time, and perhaps a variation in the injection locations. Beyond that, I can only sympathize - had all those side effects in the past. The good news is you should eventually find a pattern of treatment that's a good balance between spasms and side effects. I had 2 rounds of botox so far. I asked him to give me the lowest dose possible. It seemed to work right away. However, in the 3rd month, I could tell that it was time for another round. This 2nd time, I was super lightheaded for a month and my eyes are super dry. I did not have dry eyes before botox, now I am super light sensetive and my eyes feel so dry. It is almost time for another round. I am going to attempt to push it to the 4 month mark, because I sure do not like the dry eye stuff. so I guess its normal and it is frustrating, but getting aggrevated will not help. I pray alot for Gods Strength and he gives it to me to master everyday. soon enough, it will just be second nature to you and it will be in the background of your day instead of the forefront. My side effects from my last injections, have been very watery eyes, tears would just roll down my check.Blurry vision. Lasted for about ten days. For me it can be different side effects. Not had the sickness feelings or as if I have caught the flu. I can put up with all this just to have good eye days.
