BOTOX today

I had my second series of BOTOX inections today from the new neurolo- gist that my HMO requred me to change to. As far as I can tell, they went okay. He has an entirely different procedure of doing the injections than my previous neruo, but that's not to say it's better or worse. Time will tell if it matters at all.

He did have an intern with him today throughout the office call and the procedure. This intern should make a very caring, compassionate full- fledged doctor. He helped me up onto and off of the exam table and, get this ... even HELD MY HAND while the other doctor did the injections. This was unexpected, but comforting.

If any of you are LURKING from the SPOKANE/NORTHERN IDAHO area, Dr. Pugh told me today that he will be giving a talk one evening in late January on BOTOX and will include its use for blepharospasm. I assume the main purpose will be cosmetic, but we will take any crumbs that are offered re/BOTOX and dystonias.

I have received a list of names from the BEBRF as they have inquired about the possiblity of recruiting me to be an area rep. I have not decided yes/no on that yet, but will send out letters of inquiry to those individuals whose names/addresses I received, hoping to discern if there is an interest in a support group here. In these, I will include the information from Dr. Pugh regarding his talk in January.

My e-mail address is above if you care to contact me.

How nice of that intern to hold your hand, Sally - that's unusual in this day and age, but I'm glad to hear it. I do hope your botox injections are better than before, but even `as good as before' will be ok. Good luck with your decision as to the area rep position - you'd be good at it I know.

Take care of yourself and that computer virus.
