?/ i think it just took a month for my botox to fully work. Has anyone else experienced that the longer they go between injections, it takes more time for the botox to work for them?

It usually takes a couple of days to two to three weeks for the BOTOX to be as effective as it is going to be. It is usually a gradual progression. You may just be experiencing the wax and wane of symptoms. Others have side effects from the BOTOX and finally have improvement after the side effects wear off. If there is one thing about Blepharospasm and BOTOX that is consistant, it is the inconsistency.

It seemed to belatedly work this time. Although i have had this happen before it usually works earlier.

I've always had about a month or more of side effects from the botox injections, Kathy, and until they subside I can't tell that the botox is really doing a lot of good (6 of one, half a dozen of the other!) But I do go longer than some others between injections - it used to be 6 months, now its about 4.

Yes, actually i was thinking of you when i posted this as you've mentioned many times that the side effects lasted longer with you but you were able to go longer. I think i would be happy with that if mine continues to last longer as well. It's just a change from the past how many years??

I've been getting botox inejctions for 8 years now - the interval inbetween them remained at about 6 months for 5 years or so, now its coming down to 4 (sometimes I can go 5) months.

Well, i don't know what is in store for me. It snowed again yesterday and it still closes my eyes , yet it is only irritating exhausting pressure now. I'm not depressed since i know this area badly needs the water input.

Hi Kathy

I go every 10 weeks which is before the Botox wears off completely. It then takes about 2 weeks before I feel back to 'normal'. If it wears off before the next injections,it takes much longer to establish itself which is why I love going before it wears off completely and my doctor is quite happy for me to have them when I want to.

Thanks for answering. That is my point i was trying to make and it's comforting to know this is the way the botox works in someone as well.
