7 to 14 days is what the literature says on how long it takes. Maybe you got a bad batch or bad eye days from who knows what......weather, stress, just because.........we never know. Let your doctor know if you haven't already. So Sorry!

Hang in there, Dorothy. It is awful I know. I find it takes me about a month before I suddenly realise my spasms are much less. They still close but without the intensity. But today they are very bad(and they shouldn't be as I am in my middle month) and I think it is the stress of getting ready for Christmas , so it may well be the same for you. I have a wee message on my computer thatis to remind me to "make allowances for myself"...and maybe they will get better when you are more able to relax after Christmas.I hope so.
But it is so frustating when we are all so busy just now, isn't it?
Sympathy...EMPATHY even, and hugs from
Pippa in Scotland
Merry Christmas to everyone!

Hi Pippa
wishing you a merry christmas and good health. This is Irene and me to I've had alot of spasms lately. I feel so bad. I don't even feel like going out to other friends houses because. I'll fell like everybody seems to be staring at you and thats when your eyes start acting up on you always. I was at work at the mall and we have been really busy and I hit myself with a fixture because my eyes were acting up on me. I'd really would like to retire and stay home. To see if stress related. I bumped into two others persons at the mall and it was embrassing. I excused my self and they asked if I was ok..
God bless You all and may you have a merry christmas
Irene

The doctor may be giving you a low dosage of botox and increasing it slowly for each set of injections, Dorothy, to see how much you need for the ultimate effect. What dosage was your first set and your second? It sometimes takes several sets of injections before you feel the most benefit. Hang in there - better days ahead.June in Toronto

Thank you Dorothy. How long is it between shots and how many units are you getting? That makes a big difference. Ann Doyle
