Your in my thoughts and prayers love. Wouldnt it be wonderful if they could now invent an easy way of replacing the batteries. I guess there is no glory if finding an operation for dealing more easily with that one. Let us know how you go on love ((((((((((Dee))))))))) Love ya loads Jennifer

Just think how wonderful it will be to have brand new batteries and feel good again. Of Course you are in my prayers. How long are these batteries supposed to last? Ann Doyle

Dee, I will certainly pray. What dystonic symptoms will be helped? Since I've only been back on the BB a few weeks I wasn't sure what your symptoms were.Jeannie from OH

Best wishes, Dee, for a quick and successful procedure. You'll be bouncing back better than ever, I'm sure. Someone ought to invent a remote battery charger so that you wouldn't need to go through this. Hugs, and best wishes. Rita in New Jersey

Here it is, Monday morning. I can hardly wait to here from you and that it is all good news. No skateboarding in the halls no matter what Alan told you. God bless you and your family.
Sorry, that was Shirley, not Alan. . I;m sure they are up to no good. Ann Doyle--modified by Ann Doyle at Mon, Jan 13, 2003, 07:40:15

Well, my surgery went very well. The actual surgery only took an hour. The doctors and nurses were so very nice and actually listened to me when I told them which medications were ok and which ones might make the dystonic symptoms worse. The "batteries" or pulse generators are implanted under the clavicle - one on each side. I had a local and mild sedation so I did not have to pass any of the milestones that Jennyrobo did before going home!! But now the feeling is starting to come back and I am not looking forward to tomorrow!! Thanks for all your support. DeeOR

That's good. sometimes it helps to talk about it, if one is not too nervous to not even get the words out.

Dee,
So glad the surgery is over and that all went well. There are certainly a lot of us having surgery lately....I'm so thankful for the new technology that has helped so many of us in so many areas.

Wow! I have often thought it would be wonderful to feel "recharged" at my age. I hope you feel like the enrgizer bunny, and that eveything continues to go well for you.
Selfishly I hope they can eventually come up with something similar for BEB/Meige.
It was good to hear from you and know that you are doing well.
Hugs from CA, Linda
